You should totally give a cup to Cooper. You can do one of two things: Put hardly any liquid in it and let him mess around with it himself, expecting a mess. Or, put a lot of liquid in it and show him what to do, and help him. That's what I did with Alice, I'd fill a cup way up with water and help her drink it until she got the hang of it. Once she did I started filling it less and giving it to her to do herself. She still tends to dump it out on her highchair though when she is done drinking.

Our highchair was cheap! I wanted a pink girlie one but this was cheap and folds up and we need compact things for our small house.
