We are doing safari. It is two girls though, so it was pretty easy.

what about a neutral thing?
like animals.. it can be both a boy and a girl (if you are having a girl)

This is Kailees bedding set. Kinda hard to see,but it is a bright colored safari theme and on the wall to the right is a HUGE world map of animals.

I wouldn't do a theme. Just do colors. I like circles. shapes, lines. Abstract art

Do light yellow walls, and then for the boy side light yellow/baby blue bedding, on the girl side light pink & light yellow bedding.

OR..
something like this (which I love)

That would work for a boy and girl, and it also isn't something that either will outgrow immediately and is very toddler friendly.
You could do the same type of thing yourself by mixing and matching primary colors and doing alphabet wall art, etc.

we were doing panada one way or another....light lime green , brown , hints of 50's blue. i found these crib setting that is just beautiful if you dont wnat to fall into the entire THEME thing

This is in hints of blue, but i think it could do as well for a girl as a boy

its realy expensive but im sure its easily doable...

this one is also in the blueish tones
this one has tons of fun colours and could mix and match your deco with all of them ..plus its sooo retro

same coolours and diff. motifs

and this is the one that i wanted...but i cant have it shipped here for a reasonable cost so i had to skip

Thanks these are all really good ideas.

I was thinking of doing Kadens wall mint green like it was in his first bedroom. And the babys side either soft purple or soft blue. Shapes are a good idea. Its going to be pretty costly because i have to redo Kadens bedding and wall hangings. Im sure ill think of something.. I find out what im having in two weeks i think ill pick my brain over it then. And then when i finish the room ill post lost of pics...So if there is any one else out there with the same issue...They will get a good idea what to do...Thanks again for the AWSOME ideas.

if you are doing shapes then you could quilt them yourself! there are lots of apptern shapes on the net and if your willing to put in some time, making it would be much less costly then buying them. my mom is making mine...its not exacltya quilt..we just bought material (its blue and lime green polka dots ) and we covered up a bassinnet kit that i was given (and that was sooo effin tacky ...bears in a wheelbarrow  ) so to make it is cost me about 20 bucks! which i think is a great price   and for decor..i bought frames and put in pics and surrounding the pics i bought scrapbook paper in mathcing colours and patterns so they look quite costly..when they werent at all.
