question about spotting...

im 8 weeks today.... and on halloween i noticed some brown spotting.. and today i have beeen noticing some pink spotting..
if i call my doctor do you think they will want me to come in for an ultrasound? or just wait till tuesday when my official appointment is... BUT they wont be giving an ultrasound until im 20 or so weeks for the anatomy check.. they only give out one ultrasound unless something is going wrong...

id call now and tell them whats going on just to be on the safe side.

they would probably send you to the hospital..

Spotting in the beginning is much more common than people think. I was spotting, & when I called they just had me wait until my regular appt time.

really? its only there when i wipe.. only a little actually comes out.. i know thats TMI..
well im just gonna call them then.. hopefully they call back relatively soon cuz everytime i call a nurse will call back like hours later... its annoying.

I spotted with all three pregnancies from 6 weeks until 12 or 13 weeks. My office wont even make appts until 10-12 weeks. They dont do ultrasounds here that early either unless it is needed (and they dont qualify spotting as needed??) here anyways. If something is wrong, nothing can be done. Id just wait until your appt.

Yeahh. But I'm not sure if it was for the spotting reason, or just because. But if you want, you can always ask for an u/s & see if they'll give you one.

i was too..with my last pregnancy,,then the spotting got worse and i ended up having a miscarriage few hours later..im totally not saying thats whats happening with you,but id call just to make sure..id never want anyone to go thru what i went thru.

I would call. One time I felt my cervix was pretty low and I freaked out (I felt it because I was putting in progesterone pills). And my OB took me right in and gave me an ultrasound, and everything was fine. This was on Christmas Eve too, and I got to see my little baby dancing:-) It was an amazing Christmas prestent!

I am 6 weeks 5 days i have the same thing. when it first started at like 5 weeks 3 days i freaked and went to the ER they did an ultra sound. they couldnt see much but said everything was in the right place.
from that day i have it every so often. I was told if it turns bright red or fills a pad then contact the doctor. Id say you are ok but it does not hurt to call the doc and get some peace of mind and just know what going on.

i spotted at the beginning, the hospital put me on bed rest for 2 days n I was fine after that  

Our obgyn said if any spotting happens at all, go to the ER.
