I'm getting worried.

posted 4th Nov
I'm 20 weeks with twins and still don't feel any movement. It's getting me really worried because most people with 1 baby start feeling it by 20 weeks. Every appointment I go to, the doctor/nurses assure me that both babies are extremely healthy and normal...but I can't feel them :[

Every once in a while I think I might feel them flip or move around but I don't know if it's gas or not. And recently, I've been noticing when I lay down that my stomach will get like...tight. And it kind of pulsates like a heartbeat.

I JUST WANNA FEEL THEM

Sounds like you ARE feeling them, honeybun! With multiples your uterus has to give room to share and things probably get super crowded, no matter how tiny they are right now.

Drink some OJ and maybe eat some spicy food. If that doesn't get them jumpin', go ahead and call your OB.

Even in multiples, if this is your first pregnancy it is NOT uncommon to start feeling your babies after 20 weeks. I wouldn't worry too much mama. Do you know if you have an anterior placenta?

Don't worry. Each person is different and it takes some people longer to feel them. I've heard before that sometime it can take longer to feel twins because the babies are usually smaller thana singleton, which makes their kicks less noticable. You'll feel them soon.

Honestly, you probably are feeling them when you think it is just gas! One of these days you'll start feeling them really well and realize that you've actually been feeling flutters for a while now! At least thats how it was for me! But if you're worried then give your dr a call. As for your tummy getting tight, it may just be braxton hicks. Nothing to worry about but I would let your dr know at your next appointment.

First I must say congrats on the twins!!

Then I can say to relax a little bit! At 20 weeks I was feeling her flip around but not very much... I mostly just felt fat lol. Give it a few weeks before the kicking, rolling, flipping, alien looking stuff coming out of your tummy starts REALLY happening. lol

If you've been told they're perfectly healthy then I wouldn't worry about it. However, if you need your mind to be put at ease then go ahead and call the Dr.

I couldn't even tell you when I first felt mine move.
This is my first pregnancy so I didn't know what feeling I was supposed to feel.. I don't think I felt mine as much around 20 weeks either, because I didn't what to expect, around 25 weeks & later I could definately feel them move though, and now it's like they never stop, lol
