Can he really do this?

I'm seventeen years old and 14 weeks pregnant. My ex [the father of the baby] said he is going to call dcf when it is born so he can have the baby. I mean i don't do anything wrong. i don't drink,smoke,or do drugs.I can take care of the baby. the only thing is that i'm young. He doesn't even know how to take care of a kid he is going to depend on his mom to do it.Can he really do this and if so what are the chance that the baby will get taken from me if im not doing anything really wrong?

I dont think he can do it and if he does I dont think they will take him away from you.

No he can not do that. He will get visitation, but in turn for that you will get child support from him. He would have to have beyond solid proof that you are a druggie or abusive to take the baby away from you.

No, they cannot take your baby just because you're young.... He's just trying to scare you!

They're not going to take your baby away based on your age.
As long as everything is fit and you can provide for your baby, Then you'll probably get stuck with shared custody, If that.

scare tactics... he cant take the baby from you if youve done nothing wrong..

He cant take your babe...your the legal mother and if you are not married to him he has no legal rights to the babe..he can try and get split custdy w you but he can never take a child from their mother unless your doing sumin wrong

dont put him on the birth certificate. I could be wrong but if you dont and he wants custody he will have to pay for a paternity test to prove that he is the father

If you're not married to him he has no legal rights to the baby. He can't even demand a paternity test. You're the baby's mother so you will get custody. It would be in your best interest to have his name on the birth certificate for child support. If his name is on the certificate then he does have a little more rights. I.E. paternity test. And unless proven an unfit mother, you'll be fine.

He can demand a paternity test if he wants, he just has to pay....

That is true at least here in AZ. I am the sole person on my daughters bc. Life is so much easier.

He is always trying to do whatever he can to get me all worked up and upset.

Ohh, my best friend just went thru something like this and they weren't married so the father couldn't demand the test. He tried to and also paid for it but she refused to because he's an awful person and both her and the baby are better off without him.
