FRER Issue

Ok so I took a FRER this morning. First of all it was in a pink wrapper thing. Which I thought was weird. I have never saw that before. So I take the test, I wait the three minutes, I look, and the control line is barely there. Literally very very thin. It was a BFN but even after waiting the 10 minutes the control line was still very thin. I wish I would have taken a picture of it but I didn't.

When I get home I'm going to look and see if the test was expired or something. Just wondering if anyone else had ever had this happen. Or seen a FRER with a pink wrapper. I've never seen that before. Just curious!?

Ive heard they have been having issues with them.. I dont know what to tell you. I know they are expensive, but try to get a different brand.. Goodluck

maybe its a breast cancer awareness wrapper???that is the only thing i can think of because it seems like everything has a pink wrapper

Yea IDK, it doesn't have anything about breast cancer on the outside of the package though, cause that was my first though. I'm going to investigate more when I get home but my main "wonder" was about the control line being so thin.

Done some googling for you, Lavonne. Someone had the same thing you do with FRER (no second line, skinny control line) and she got a BFP on a digi at the same time, so the test could be defective. You're best trying with a different brand.

And that's why I love you!!! haha! I'll try a different brand next week when I test for sure. I have one more test from that box so I might try using that one tomorrow and see if does the same.

OHHHH Another thing I noticed. Right when I took the test, I always watch it when it first starts out, like I watch the pee go across the window basically. And when I did that it all had that shadow over it except where the test line should be, like I could clearly see where the test line should have been. So I think a defective test is probably the correct answer. Let's hope my story turns out like that other one, I won't get my hopes up. It's still really early to test, and yea...I don't wanna think about it. haha!

She did get a really faint second line on one test. It's the second one she took at the same time as the digi that had no second line at all.

Thanks. She just got that yesterday. I joined and posted to tell her I had the same thing. Hmmm...I'll definitely be retesting at some point.

Here are the pics of the test. Excuse the jankety pictures. My camera batteries must be bad. So I used my webcam on my Mac. It actually looks thicker in the picture too. Even after sitting all day it still was super thin. So looks like I'll retest soon. Hopefully get a more clear result.
