showering with a toddler

For Mommy's who do/have showered with their toddlers, how old was your LO when they first showered with you & how did they handle it? lol Did the water scare them? Did they slip & slide all over the shower floor? And how did you manage to prevent this?
Imogen is 18months old & it is boiling hot here I would love to be able to just hop into a cool shower at the end of a hot long day rather than struggle to get & keep her in the bath, lol. I am too scared to just try it out though, lol, unless it has actually worked for other Moms. So please feel free to give any & all advice.

I started co-bathing with Jaxon when he was really young. Now we co-shower & at first he didn't like the way the water came down... but he loves it now! He doesn't slip or slide but there's a slight grip on the bottom of the bathtub.

I've showered with Drake since he was about 16 months. We are stopping that this month though because he turns 2.

My son has been showering with me since he was a newborn. It always calmed him down when he was a baby, just the skin to skin interaction. He still showers with me on days we are really in a hurry. I started thinking about this actually.. I think he might be getting a little too old.. LOL

My daughter hates standing under the shower but she is only 15 months old and has always been like that. We have a great floor mat in the bath tub, and I will take a bath with her first, wash her, rinse her with a cup, and then turn on the shower while she plays with her toys and I shower, then we both hop out   It's fun and works out great!

We have a slip mat too!!!! YAY!!! Glad to know it is actually possible.

I've been co-bathing/showering ever since he could sit up on his own. My husband and I still do. We bought a nonslip bath mat so he doesn't fall in the shower and he does great. I used to make him sit before he could balance well. I'll be stopping soon since he's almost 2. It is so much easier to hop in the shower and just take them with you. He hated the water coming down at first but I just make sure it doesn't get on him when he's not ready. He loves to get all wet and sudsy! Once our second baby is born we'll be co bathing/showering with it as well and the kids will bathe togther since they are both boys anyway.

My daughter is 23 months and she loves showering with me. She loves the water running on her.. and As Im washing my body, She is doing the same. lol. it is sooo cute. and then i play with her and her toys.

we started about 17 months. she hates standing under the water because it goes on her face and she cant see. but i always wash her first and give her those crayola bath crayons and while im finishing up she just draws all over the walls. she loves taking baths but i only have free time when the LO is napping so i just shower and take her in with me because she will get into trouble if i dont lol

When he was able to walk on his own so around 8 months. I didn't put him under the shower then & still don't, our shower head detaches so I take it off & rinse him that way.

MY son showers with me he is 16 months but we make sure theres one of those no slip mats down in the shower and seeing as hes a boy that will prolly stop at 2 maybe 3 years old well see when that time comes

I have been co-showering with my daughter since before she could walk. Just be sure to have a no-slip mat!! She is 2 years old now and still loves it! You just have to be careful they don't try to climb out of the shower while you are still showering. Scarlett is good about that, but as soon as the shower turns off she is outta the tub so it can be a pain that I don't get to dry myself off first.
I will probably stop around the time she's 2 and a half, or 3.
