What's in Gerber Graduate Meals that allows them to go

unrefrigerated on shelves for god knows how long. I mean, it's a little plastic container covered in plastic wrap.

Ive always wondered that .

preservatives   I won't feed my kid those, they sort of freak me out, LOL. Plus they have a shit load of salt in them.

Preservatives and salt would be my guess.

I dont know but my son would not eat them!!!

so that means theres natural preservatives?

I believe salt counts as a natural preservative. I could be wrong though.

Whenever my son gets old enough to eat those things he will just be eating what mommy and daddy do. I refuse to buy them. I don't even like buying the jarred baby food.

After reading a little, they are also vacuum sealed (why the lid 'pops' when opened), which deters bacterial growth.

Evan loves it. But he also likes eating what we do too. The other day he had some chicken spaghetti and green bean casserole. I can't wait until Thanksgiving to let him try it all
