bleeding (tmi)

This morning I woke up around 4am, and I was having cramps (felt like period cramps). I went to the bathroom, peed,and the toilet was filled with blood. So of course I freaked out, woke my mom up and we went to the ER. They put the dobbler thing on my belly for like an hour and a half to listen to the heartbeat, and it sounded good. They didn't try to figure out where the bleeding was coming from though. They said the cramps were just from the bleeding. Then they just sent me home. Anyone know what it was from?

did they check to make sure u werent dialating?

it's not in my underwear or anything, just when I pee. now it's just getting pink when i pee. but i'm still cramping and it's 8am now.

That seems odd that they wouldnt do an u/s or check you for dilation or anything. I'd call your Ob and tell them although they prob already know if you went in. Did you go to the ER or L&D?

nope they didn't really check any of that. they just checked my baby's heartbeat/rate and put that dobbler on my belly where it measures contractions which there weren't any. but should they have checked for dialation? and we called my doctor and the nurse called me back and said she would talk to my doctor and ask her if i need to come see her today.

Did they check you for a UTI?
I would seriously call your Dr ASAP

i went to the ER and they pushed me in a wheelchair to the L&D..but they said my regular doctor would probably see me today and do an ultrasound if she wanted. i wanted more answers though...because i know cramping and bleeding isnt normal

damn right its not normal, get in touch with your Dr and then make a complaint about the hospital. there is no way they should have sent you home like that

when my doctors nurse called me back she was asking me questions about if it burned to pee and all that, and said she was just making sure i didn't have a UTI. i would feel better if they would actually check me AT her office though, instead of over the phone.

okay. i did call my doctor, they need to call me back though. the lady that saw me today said if there's more dark blood in the toilet to go back to the ER.

Your doc will prob have you come in later or just have you keep an eye on it. I hope everything goes good for you! take it easy and relax for the time being

i would go down to L&D and give them hell until they give you the treatment you think you need.
demand an u/s and for them to figure out whats causing the bleeding

update:

my doctors office just called back and i'm going to the specialty center for an ultrasound at 11 then going to see my OB at 12:30.
