My Not-So-Boring Night...

Here I was, relaxing with my feet up after a hard day at work. Adrianna was fast asleep in her crib, Biggest Loser was on the TV.

My dog, Pretty, decided she wanted to go potty, so I take her to the back door and let her run to the back yard. Next thing I hear is a screaming/screeching noise and the sound of my dog fighting with something. First thought in my mind - "OMG she has been attacked by a rabid raccoon!" so I run out and she heris like fighting some grayanimal.Thought #2 crosses my mind: "OMG she has Pepper, the little stray cat that hangs around."

I yell for her, she lets it go and runs in the house. By then, I'm freaked out, so I take this flashlight and shine it back and see that its a opposum. A decent sized possum...laying there...barely moving, but still alive..

So, I wait a few minutes to see if it would run away...but it was pretty hurt...so I had to call my brother over to the house to put it out of its misery.

Ugh. I know everyone says, "Its just a opposum, no biggie." but the first thought that came to my mind was, "Awww some mama just lost her baby..."

I didn't know whether to be happy at my dog for protecting me or pissed off that she made me miss most of Biggest Loser. lol

So that was my night. How was yours?

My night was super boring..trying to entertain Teagan and failing miserably and I agree your daughter is cute!

lilly has brought me two opppsms before. its a sign of love. but sence they play dead she didnt really attack she just brought them to me. i had dave scoop them up with a shovle and put them out of the fenced area. next morning the scampered off

Nope...not at all...I checked her over when I got in. She had the opposum by the back, so he couldn't get around to bite her...Thank God!

I took BOTH kids to Kroger with me last night which was HELL I might add !

Usually, Pretty doesn't really bother the animals too much, but when Cam is gone on the road, she takes this role of "protector" over me...and it jumped out of our trash can as we were walking out - pretty much spooking her and then she went into protector mode. I was kind of proud of her that when I yelled for her to stop and get over here, she actually listened to me. lol I'm not a very assertive dominant person...Cam is the alfa male in our house.

I was going to leave it...and let it scamper off, but it looked pretty hurt AND she wouldn't leave it alone. Like she couldn't pay attention to go Potty...she just wanted to stare at it, watching it to make sure it wasn't gonna go anywhere...

Oh, that sucks....sorry mama! I hate taking Addy grocery shopping...it never goes well!

The ONLY good thing was that Bryce actually sat inside the cart and didn't want to run all over hells creation. It was good seeing my friend too! I definitely did what I didn't want to do though. I didn't have a list so I just went and grabbed stuff. It was stuff that we could actually use and that I've never bought before so I hope it's good. I only spent 56 dollars too! I was figuring it was going to be 70ish.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE POSSUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are seriously the NASTIEST Animals alive!!!!! sick sick sick!!!!!!!!


My Dog killed a cat yesterday.......... It got into our backyard.... There was no blood, i think she just shook if to death........

RIP Black Cat..........
