That's the BC I'm on, and have been on for probably 8 or 9 months now. It's my first time on BC, so I'm still a little uneducated on it. I take it every night before I go to sleep, usually at different times. Do I really have to take it at the same exact time every night for it to be effective? My brothers girlfriend sets an alarm for when she has to take it. We use other forms of birth control as well because I'm paranoid, so if it's ineffective, I haven't noticed.

I've taken it hours and hours apart....even forgot a few times and would take it 10 or so hours later. Or skip that dose and take the next one as regularly scheduled.

It works best if you take it the same time every day. But I do have to say that I know a few people that got preggo on that pill and at least one of them was like your brothers girlfriend and took it religiously the same time every day.

that's why we use a backup.   I'm in no way ready for another yet.

I know people that say they've gotten pregnant and that it's because they took it too late. I myself have breakthrough bleeding if I don't take it at the same time, especially towards the end of the cycle.

I've never gotten that. I usually take it between 9pm-12am. And when I start a new pack, I usually end up forgetting to pick it up and take 3 in one night, even though you're not supposed to.

the forgetting part is the only part that I would be concerned about. but if you are using backup then it's not really even that big of a deal. but I take mine at night, whenever I think about it. And if I forget I try to take it in the morning.

I HAVE to take it at night, or I would forget everyday. Knock on wood, I haven't had a problem yet with the starting the new pack, but I know it's not good. I just have to get on a regular for picking it up on time.

I used to hate them, and honestly - however disgusting it may be, never used one until I was already pregnant...never used one ever. Now I make him. Plus I hate feeling like I need to take a shower right after to clean it all out. eww.

yes, that's how I am. But we do the pull and pray method as well as me being on bc.   I hate that feeling too, it just feels gross.

yeah, we used to do that...okay, well maybe only a few times before getting pregnant. But it would always hinder me from getting the O so I would tell him to leave it in. That would be the conception story of J.

lol.   I just told him that I wanted a baby and we weren't trying but we certainly weren't preventing. ;)
