Toddler charing room with an infant?

posted 4th Nov
So I don't have a toddler yet, but I figured as far as my question goes, this would be an appropriate place to post.
Madison will be 13 months when this new baby comes,
and Me & Larry have a 3 bedroom house.
I was originally going to have the kids in their own rooms.
But now that I got to thinking about it,
I could put them together and maybe have one big room just to use as a "Playroom"

But I'm not sure how Madison would do with an infant in her room.
So I want to hear from parents who have tried a toddler in a room with an infant and if it was good/bad.

Also, Anyone who has a playroom,
I want to know if you enjoyed having it or not.

Mine do not share a room, but I wouls assume that it would be difficult during the newborn stage with all the night feddings. Maybe it would work better if you kept the baby in your room until he/she is sleeping through the night so that your toddler will still be able to get the sleep she needs.
Good luck!

Thats what I am thinking.
We have Madison a crib, and I am thinking about just getting a pack and play for this baby and it would br really easy to move into Madi's room when it was time

I had my youngest sleep in a pack n play in my room for the first 4 months until he slept through the night and switched him to the crib but he wakes up around 6 and I rock him back to sleep (I have a rocking chair in their bedroom), my oldest may wake up but not always and he usually just rolls over and goes back to sleep.

This may be stupid, but when do they go into a toddler bed and out of a crib?

I was thinking maybe about the time the new babymoves in there I could move Madison out of the crib and into a bed.
Maybe. I guess we will just have to see how everything goes.

when the time comes you could try it out for a couple weeks since that should be enough time for them to get use to it and if it doesnt work out then you know what to do. Good Luck!

Just keep in mind that it may not work b/c your toddler will be in the adjustment period with the new baby and sometimes they may regress. Most suggest no big changes around that time, but every lo is different. GL!
