Any thoughts?

posted 4th Nov
So sometimes Fathead has an accident during the night. When she wakes up her pullup didn't work, and her clothes are soaked. No problem, I just change them.

Well lately whenever I try to take her clothes off she screams, as if someone is hurting her. She'll clutch onto me crying. The first time I just figured she was cold. So I quickly changed her and tried to put new clothes on her. But when I did that, she did the same thing as when I tried to take them off. he'd clutch onto me, crying and screaming.

I figured the first time, maybe a bad night or something, but when it happened this morning, i got a little worried. It's not as if it's in themiddle of the night. It's at 8 am when she wakes up. So my question is has anyone elses LO ever done this? Any thoughts on what's happening? I'm just getting a little worried.

I would deff be getting kind of worried. I know that my 4 month old doesn't like being naked at all he cries when we change his clothes too. I think its because he's tired. Maybe she was just a little tired and grumpy?

My 3 year old daughter frequently goes through fazes where she completely freaks out when I change/dress her. I don't know if that is what your daughter is up to.
Do you have a real reason for concern, meaning, does she go to daycare or spend time with others while you are not around?

Here are some thoughts:

1. 21 months is too young to force potty training and she's frustrated/angry at you

2. She's not a morning person

3. She's been sexually abused. <-- requires you to question who she's been alone with,-- when, where, how long, etc etc.

I know my LO doesnt always like changing her clothes either sometimes..she'll get angy.
But is it some particular behaviour you see that you're worried about? and worried in what way?

I thought that the first time, but she was up, talking to my nana and laughing, and then all of a sudden when I went to take her clothes off, her mod changed completely.

I'm hoping it's just a phase. But before I moved, she was spending time with my mom and stepdad, and well, he's a mean drunk, and she physically abused me for 12 years. That's why i'm starting to worry.

She acts like she's going to be in HUGE trouble for wetting herself. I knew her father and I never get mad at her, because really, you can't get mad at a 2 year old for doing that.

I know it's not a rash because I've looked, and it's not the changing part she has trouble with. I can take her pull up off, wipe her, and put it back on.

Sounds like your family abused your child.

well 1) I'm not "force PT'ing her." so i have no idea where you got that from. She only sits on the potty when SHE asks too, and if she doesn't go i say "that's okay." and we go play. so no. it's not that.

2) she is a morning person. she's happy from the time she wakes up. she'll play in her crib, or climb into my bed and play with me.

3) this is the one I am worried about. Either sexually, or physically.

It's the way that she clutches me and screams. It's just, odd.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't only me thinking this.

I need to talk to my SO when he gets out of school.
