Hello all! We are expecting a little girl, and we picked out Averie a long time ago... I've always spelled it Averie for a girl. Yesterday my MIL said she doesn't like it w/ the "ie" and she prefers the "y" on the end. I told her Avery is generally how boys spell it along w/ the Avery labels at Staples so I wanted to make it more 'girly' by spelling it w/ the "ie", plus my name is Angie so I thought "ie" would be cute.

Her name middle name will be Hope. Averie Hope or Avery Hope

Before I read the rest of your post I was thinking "y"for a boy and "ie" for a girl, I really like it with thi "ie" I think its pretty

Oh she said "spell it how you like it but that's just what I thought" which of course got me thinking.. lol

I would like to throw out there though... SOMETIMES I wish I would of spelled her name Avery b/c you can find all those cute sippy cups, name plates ect spelled Avery... and all ive seen are PINK!

i think you should do the "ie" i like that way better!

I like "IE" for a girl also, y seems like a boy to me.. but both are cute

I like Averie or Averi so you can put a heart over the i when you right her name!

Haha, I would spell it with an 'ie' just to spite my MIL. But that's cuz I cant stand her.
