wondering if I will get into trouble for this

Im 18 weeks today and I really can't wait any longer to find out what my baby is. My Doc said to wait 3 weeks to get an u/s. I asked her if I could just get it now and she said no, because if they can't tell what the baby is then you will want another one. I told her that if they couldn't tell this time that I would just pay to have another one done and she said no, just wait. Well, there's no date telling them when to do it so Im wondering if I will be in a world of shit if I just go anyway..LOL
I just can't wait..I was around 15-16 weeks with my other kids so I know that if the baby cooperates they can tell I just don't want to get into trouble....I do have to see this Doc for the rest of my pregnancy.

I'd wait, but that's just me.

we have a place aorund here that does 2d ultrasound for 130 bucks...
its called becoming mom spa..
maybe you can check something like that out..
or just wait... lol because its no big deal.. you WILL find out eventually...
whats wrong with waiting like everyone else?

i would just wait. at 18 wks he said i had a girl because he thought he saw a big clit. but at 20 wks big clit ended up being a penis. i'm glad i didnt go crazy shopping, plus i had a feeling deep down i had a boy in there.

I understand the anticipation is killing you. A few more weeks won't be that bad.

i found out at 15 1/2 weeks, they might be able to tell

I bet if you go in now and say you wnt one done... baby isnt cooperate and you wont find out.. and then you will have to end paying for one...

most states have places that just do ultrasounds.. some 3d/4d places do regular 2d for Gender determination and do so usually around 16 weeks. With my first I had it done at 15 and it was right   And with this one I went off base here in Germany at 16 weeks and found out.. ( hopefully will stay the same when I go in for my anatomy ultrasound in a few weeks ) We are due on the same day  

I have no patience either and couldnt wait..   Do what you feel like you wanna do chica!!

A 3/d 4/d place near me does gender determination for $79 your doc wont find out about it but its prob best to wait.

Thanks. I just called my doctor and told the girl at the desk that because of my husbands schedule I want to know if I can get them both done this week (I need one on my kidneys too). She didnt ask the doctor but she said that I could...haha
So...I have both appts today but they can't do the one for the baby until 7pm est.
I still can't wait..LOL

That's cool. I don't mind paying for another one if needed
