My doc said the same thing...wait until you are 21 wks but i just couldnt wait!!! so i ended up going to those 4d places and paid 100 bucks and they told me im having a boy!!!!!!

I'm excited to do my baby registry too so hopefully they will be able to tell.  

they want you to wait so they can check the entire baby, its not for gender. its to check all parts of the baby and they cant check everything at 15-16 weeks.

they usually do it between 18-22 weeks. usually closer to 20 weeks. they want to be able to see the chambers of the heart and the brain, all that good stuff!!! you could always pay for an early gender scan if you just cant wait! we did but baby wouldnt open its legs   but we get to go back the day after thanksgiving.

LOL. I couldn't wait either. I don't get an ultrasound at the doctor until Dec 1st.I paid for a 3D ultrasound and got it done the day I turned 18 wks. She turned the ultrasound on, and within 10 secs she said it was a boy. We looked for a while longer and she said she was 110% sure. I sure hope she's right because we've started buying blue stuff!! I have some pics on my profile of the ultrasound. It was so much fun getting it done. And well worth the money I think. We got a DVD of the whole session, and a CD with 82 pics on it & it was a little over $100 w/ tax.

I got mine early as im juuust 18 weeks, and they were able to tell.
they said it wont be like 100% accuratebut were still able to tell me

Well, they did my u/s and they think it's a girl...Of course, she wasn't 100% sure but she said she's gonna go with a girl and she was able to get all the measurements just fine. And they baby wasn't really cooperating (figures). LOL

That is really sad that you cant just wait it out. Hell, before there were ultrasounds there was no way finding out what the sex of the baby was. And, now your so selfish that you cant wait until your dr says its time to fid otu the sex of the baby. Hell, i understand being excited and such. Im having my FIRST baby.. and, i waited.. it was like christmas morning counting down to my 20 week ultrasound to find out if it was a boy or a girl...
