When do you ..

posted 4th Nov
start to put snowpants on your child??

Mackenzie is getting ready to go to school, and asked me when she has to start wearing her snowpants. I usually never put them on her until there was snow on the ground, but now that she is in kindergarten they play outside.

So do you put your childs snowpants on them once there is snow on the ground, or do you put them on them even when it is just cold?

The high is 5 degrees celsius today (which is equal to 41 degress F) ..
Right at this second though, it is 1 degree celsius (which is equal to 33.8 degrees F)

I'm waiting for snow. Its in the 40's here too and they play outside but I just make sure they have their coats, hats, mittens, and scarves.

I would make sure her name is on them and I would send them to school with her.

That's what I was thinking too..
It did snow yesterday but didn't stay on the ground.. And today it says it is supposed to snow and rain.   I wish the snow would just get here and stay rather then have all this nasty rain and hail.

My oldest is in grade 2 this year and I have one in kindergarten as well. Usually our school sends home a reminder about winter clothes at the point when they want all kids to have snow pants etc. but I usually get them wind pants to wear when the weather is cold like this but there's no snow. Keeps their legs warm but there's no need for the bulk of real snow pants yet.

Thanks.. I will just send her in her wind pants today. Hopefully she stays warm
