Wierd fever

posted 4th Nov
I posted something yesterday about my LO having a pretty high fever all night and all day. We gave him his last dose of Tylenol at like 3:30pm and he fell asleep about 7pm and slept all night. Today, he is still a little warm, but he is just like me and his body temperature is slightly higher. Has this happened to anyone else?

My mom told me that I used to do this all the time. I would run high fevers and be perfectly fine the next day. I wouldn't show any other signs of being sick. He never did either. You could tell in his eyes that he didn't feel good, but he was running around, eating and keeping fluids down.

It was wierd. The highest his got was 101.5. We gave him tylenol and it would go down a little. But now its just completely gone.

My MIL thought is could have been a reaction to the flu shot he got Friday. I wanted to take him to the walk in clinic at his pedi office, but my mom told me not to, just give him Tylenol and a luke warm bath if it gets worse. Wierd kids

yeah, i don't give my kids the flu shot, they actually told me not to if she doesnt have anything wrong with her immune system...she hasnt done it since that last time but it is strange but maybe you will have better luck with it and maybe it makes yu feel better to know someone else does it too

It does make me feel better knowning that it does happen to other children too. It was just really wierd that he had the fever and NO other symptoms and now he has no fever and is back to himself.

My daughter just had something similar earlier this week. She ran a high fever (102 mostly but got to 104 at one point, which scared the crap outta me) and 48 hours later, it was gone. No congestion, just a fever (and she was obvs not feeling well and was very irritable though). I took her to the doc and they said, random fever virus -- I guess it is quite common in little ones. It left as quickly as it came on.

He is perfectly fine today. No signs of even feeling bad yesterday.
