Coughing? Related to teething

So I dunno if this is a stupid question but is it possible for a baby to cough because of drooling a lot? My LO has been drooling sooooo much and every once and awhile he coughs. Not like an illness cough but almost like he is choking. Could he be choking on spit? I sure as shit hope he isn't getting sick again, he got N1H1 when he was only 2 months old.  

my pedi said its common for them to have a choke like cough while teething cus of the extra saliva in their mouths..my LO just sprouted his bottom two teeth and is still drooling like crazy and coughs like that all the time, the pedi didnt seem too concerned with it

Does it sound like he's clearing his throat when he coughs? Or is it more of a dry unproductive cough, like you have with an itchy throat.

That makes me feel loads better, momma. You have no idea. He coughs almost like... I dunno how to describe it. Just like he is choking, sometimes he even starts gulping like he is trying to catch his breath. When he had the flu it was more of a dry cough. And a series of them. When he coughs now it is usually just once and then he starts drooling and puffing his cheeks out until saliva is foaming out of his mouth. LOL

I was thinking earlier bcus the LO was blowing spit bubbles and it looks like he has rabies just from him blowing his spit everywhere & it foaming lol..he coughs more when he's like laying down so I have him inclined when hes sleeping

Same here. My LO just woke up and coughed once then went back to sleep. It's so sad b/c he gives me a dirty look like I should do something about it...
