My computer crashed. Help

I didn't have the reinstall disc for it so I used my moms. She has a dell desktop and I have a compaq laptop. My wireless driver didn't install. Does anyone know how to install one for free or what I can do?

you can usually go to the website and install whatever you need from there.

Go to their website and install and my husband said you using a Dell cd on a compaq more than likely didn't activate your Windows correctly and he said dumb idea.

U have a back up HARD DRIVE ON UR COMPUTER that u use how ever for wireless did it come with the computer

i would format it with a windows CD. it always cures my problems, however I'm not sure about your wireless driver. find out the name of the driver and google the download. i always have to do that for my sound cards after i format.

Sence it came with the computer u may not beable to reinstaill it

My SO works for DELL and u can reinstall it..

He said if you bought the computer legitimate you should have the software or you could call Compaq and get a new cd.

yah and they make u pay for it he said if u can get on antother computer and get the divers on to a CD that might work outher wise ur SOL

Yes... I can't remember how much they are, maybe around $100? Actually I have an extra one we bought... maybe I could sell it to ya? ;) I could explain the format process too if you'de like.

My SO said u should have installed the divers on a back up cd b4 using that CD it will work but desktop CD do not activate wireless cards as they dont come with them
