Meadow has to get her 2 month shots tomorrow...my mom said I should give her tylenol beforehand, but I was wondering what you girls thought

I didn't... I forgot. She fell asleep right afterward, but then when she woke up a couple hours later she was screaming bloody murder for almost 3 hours. haha good luck.

yup, an hour before and again an hour after is what I've always been told. Consult your pedi over the phone for the right dosage for her weight.

I always did..30 minutes before..still do and she is 15 months..I figure it might help with some of the pain and help control a fever better if they end up getting one..

I don't think it is okay to give a baby a dose of tylenol and then another dose 2 hours later? Even adults aren't supposed to take two doses within 2 hours.

My LO usually sleeps for a while, and then doesn't want anyone messing with her legs for a couple days and gets a slight fever for like 2 days. Other than that she acts normal.

Just depends on your baby. Grace's worst ones were at 2 months..every time since then has gotten better and better. You can massage the injection site on her legs afterwards and put a warm washcloth on it to keep it from swelling and what not..and I always give Tylenol usually for at least 12-24 hours after until I know if she was gonna get a fever or not..and based on how cranky she was..I gave her Tylenol 30 min before and then every 4 hours or so after that.

i wish i would have known to give it to her before. my pedi said give her .6 ml and she weighs 9.5 now. she got her 2 month shots today. she has been pretty good though. but her cry is alot more distinct.

Joey had his 2 month shots today and we waited until we got home from the doctor to give him Tylenol. It did not seem to bother him much! He did cry for a couple of minutes after the nurse gave him the shots but he cried himself to sleep after that. I'm sure it would be perfectly fine to give her some before you go, we just forgot
