That's awesome! It's nice to know that even though the name is really unique, there are other little girls out there with it.

I was concerned at first, cause most people didnt seem to like the spelling of it before I had her.
They all thought everyone would call her "Iz-la"
But once she was born, I have not had anything but positive reactions to it!  
Everyone I introduce her to has told me it's a beautiful name!

I think Isla Fisher has helped some, she had a bunch of TV interviews this summer so at least most people know how to say it properly now.

My husband decided on the name Isla b/c he likes Isla Fisher so much..lol.

Yeah, I've gotten a few of those if people see her name before they hear it.
But generally once I explain it, they are like
OH! That's so pretty!  

And truthfully, I hadn't even heard of Isla Fisher until I already had the name picked out. Then I googled it...
I was like OH! I saw her in the Wedding Crashers.
