my mom said it hurt her soooooo bad, she had to grab the wall and cry when she peed. For me, it hurt very very little. For my friend, not at all. My mom had an episiotomy and I had a small tear. Maybe it makes a difference?

I had an episiotomy and it did not bother me to pee. The worst was the whole process I had to go through everytime I pottied. Use the squirt bottle, then the tucks and spray, change the GIANT pad, pat dry. It was a pain.

I was so much more afraid of my first pee and poo after delivering than I was of the birth itself. Thankfully for me, it wasn't bad at all! I used the peri bottle and Tucks pads to keep the swelling down and went about my business.

if you dont have any tearing or anything it probably wont sting.
It stung like a bitch for me. My eyes watered so much it looked like i was crying, and i only peed maybe 5 drops.

It hurts sooooo damn bad. I had to pee in the shower for a week. I needed hot water down there the whole time I peed. I was so happy when I was healed after a week.

My hospital gave me some stool softeners and told me to take them all (it was like, two or three days worth) and that was a big help. I was SO afraid, but it wasn't a big deal at all. You should find out if your hospital gives you some, and if not - buy some!

Lean forward! As gross as it sounds, try and go in the shower. With my 3rd, the midwife told me to do it. Man soooooooo much easier than the first two times.
I was more worried about turning myself inside out when I needed to poop though lol
