Quoting mckall [its a boy].:“ ...I don't want my own mother in the room. I haven't told her yet but she has been against the whole ... [snip!] ... makes me stress out just being in her presence. I don't know how to tell her without her going off and then being offended”
Good luck telling her -my opinion, it's Your choice, those who matter don't care, and those who care don't matter.
I would definitely figure out what you're gonna do ahead of time though -because I wasn't comfortable having my mom there -but I'm her only child and she is really sweet and all that so I let her in there just for the first one -well she's not gonna be there this time! She's great and all that, but I can't stand being around her sometimes -Especially while I'm in labor -so yeah -if you know ur uncomfortable now -it'll be worse in labor.
I'm personally liking the idea of just happening to go into labor and not getting the chance to call her until afterwards... even if you don't say it happened so fast (cuz it'll probably take hours) just say something like -well once it started happening we forgot about everything else and it was so involving... or something like that... lol
Good luck!
and MOMMI -we are here for ya -hope everything works out for you real good.
and it was a brilliant idea for them to maybe come up with some kind of medical excuse for you to only have your SO in there with you but no one else -just see what you can do -get smarter than him -lol -you shouldn't need to put up with his childish drama. luv to all ~KP
