Why was she born early if you don't mind me asking?

About the bradys as long as she is correcting them herself I wouldn't be too worried. It just takes them a little while to learn how to suck swallow and breathe.

You and me have been through a lot with our girls, I am just glad we can hopefully help Ashley through this, and I think we can with our support and sharing our experiences!

That we have. They are such strong little girls. If I could take anything from my horrible experience it would have to be helping others through the same thing. I was so scared and lost. It would have helped tremendously to have someone to talk to, ask questions, and to vent to.

Thats the way I feel too, about taking something from our bad experience to being able to help others. I did find some Mamas on here who really helped me through the long process. The hospital Anya was in has a program called Parent Buddy, which parents like us that already have our babies home and they are doing well, that we help other parents that currently have a baby in the NICU, just to talk to them. I got a parent buddy but I did not connect with her, but I am hoping to become one soon!

I would love that! I don't think our hospital does that..great idea though!

I'm so glad the majority of micro preemies and earlier ones do so well on here. Although we've had such a ridiculously long time in hospital and i still contribute regularly with all our experiences, i feel so negative and unhelpful because of all we've gone through. I'm sure the positive stories and experiences from you guysmust help reassure new preemie mamas a lot

They don't know why she came early. She was just impatient and ready I guess.
She has been correcting herself every time within a second or so and they havent had to do anything physical to get her back thank god!!

What kind of nipple do they have her on? Aubree was on the slow flow nipple and would get tired and have just give up on the bottle. They moved her to the regular flow nipple and she had a complete turn around! The next day she pulled her NG tube out and she was finishing every bottle and eating more!!!!

Right now they have her on a regular nipple with the hole a bit bigger because they've been putting rice cereal in her formula because she has such a strong suck....They said they wouldn't be doing that for long though.

We had the same problem with Bella. Once they put her on regular flow she started finishing all of her feeds. It was amazing!

The nurses kept telling me she would eventually finish every bottle but never changed the nipple, then when my favorite nurse and I were dicussing the issue she told me that the regular flow might work better, we tried it and never looked back!!!! It was taking her 30-45 mins to drink 1-2 oz after the nipple change we went to 15 mins to finish 2 oz....it was awesome to know it wasn't something else wrong with Aubree but the darn nipple!!!!
