Yeah, everyone just hears about it but never really looks into it so they think it's just a dumbass woman not having common sense. The coffee was dangerously too hot and above the maximum temp it should've been at.

i agree with the medical malpractice lawsuit. but when someone comes up with an outrageous monetary amount, its just ridiculous.

My brother died due to that type of negligence. My mom took him to the ER one night because he kept crying and holding his stomach (he was special needs and could not communicate) and the doctor took him to the back. Instead of checking him out the doctor packed his suit case and told my parents he was constipated. He had a bowel blockage and ended up dying the next morning. His death could've been prevented if the dumb fuck doctor would've just checked him out. The nurse in the room felt guilt and called a lawyer who contacted my parents to tell them what happened.

I believe that would go with the mdeical malpractice. It wasnt a direct result of your husband participating in something that he could have easily said no to

I don't think they should have been awarded anything. If their child was forced into doing this, then maybe, but if they willingly did it on their own than no. It was an accident.

But I was using that as a joke though...(guess it was a bad example), because some people sue over some crazy stuff and win...thats what I meant by it. Even though I dont think its funny at all about what the OP is about...I just, for some reason, threw that in there...

how about the person that sued nike for tripping over their shoe strings, its not death but it shows how sue-happy americans are. 20 mil sounds pretty nice to me though so IMO the judicial system is doing nothing but promoting this way of thinking
