DaVinci Code & Angels and Demons + other good books

Do you have to read one to read the other? Are they worth it to read? I'm going to China in December and it's a long flight and I want to have something enthralling to read. Any suggestions? I always wanted to read those 2 books and I also like James Patterson and Jodi Picoult books.

I didn't read Angels and Demons, but I was disappointed with the DaVinci Code, I think it was all the hype about it that ruined it for me.

But an excellent book that I recommend is "Water for Elephants"

oo I have that book but just never read it! what kind of genre would you classify it as?

Angels and demons was pretty good, and the da vinci code was good as well. I love all of the symbolism in them. Dan brown just cam out with another one, The lost symbol. Its not a christian thing though, its about masons and their secrets and history. I love history, symbolism and cospiracy theories. So of course I love Dan brown!!!! I am kinda tired of James patterson, after reading him for so long, and he comes out with a new book like every 3 months-it seems like theyre all the same now.....

That's a tough one to answer... I guarantee you won't want to put it down once you pick it up though, it's that good!

okay I'll take your word for it on the water for elephants and I'll bring that with me.

And I LOVE mason stuff on history channel haha so maybe I'll read that new book.

I never really thought to much about masons, just that most of out countrys founders were masons, and there are alot of masonic symbols in out government,,, but the book is awesome. It totally has alll kinds of mason secrets (well not realy secrets, just stuff the average american doesnt know) and TONS of conspiracy theories. Its awesome....
