So happy!!!

When i first broke the news to my mom that i was pregnant, she was outraged. She went off on my SO telling him he screwed up my life, we shouldve known better,etc.... For the safety of me and my unborn child, I left the house for 3 weeks because she made me so stressed out, giving me and my SO dirty looks, slammin doors, ugh... I came back and there was still a little tention around the house, but the day i had my first ultrasound i asked her to come along. I think that day alone had a great impact on her. Her mood completely changed... Today she came home with "baby's first christmas" onesies, beanies, socks, and her own lil christmas stocking. It completely touched my heart!I'm happy she finally came around.

Now I know my last6 weeks will be fine =)

Yep. No one can stay mad when they really stop to think about having a grandbaby! Looks like the excitement is starting to kick in for grandma-to-be.

My mom was the same way with my first and third pregnancy (miscarriage obviously didn't have any happy ending)...
I was 19 with my son and she was furious until she went and saw him on the ultrasound. She was so happy and excited. She loves him so much.

Now she's just as excited about this one, although I know it scared her almost as badly as it scared me (risk of miscarriage). She is VERY happy it's a girl this time around and can't wait to meet her.


I'm glad your mom came around and is getting excited. It takes a bit of time, but they usually turn their attitude around
