Why?

posted 3rd Nov
Why do some girls feel the need to correct me when I call my boyfriend's mom my MIL? It's just a shortcut from typing 'my boyfriend's mother' so why can't I just use it? Why have I been called 'four eyes' by two mamas on here? It's a parenting site, you need to grow up a little bit, or come up with better insults. Why are there so many teenagers TTC? Why don't they want to live out their teenage lives and mature before they have a human to take care of? If you're bored, get a dog! You can still dress them like a doll but with half of the hassell and responsibilities. Why does my MIL think its okay to yell at me for wiping spit off my daughters face or because I wipe her after she pees? Why does my boyfriend come home expecting me to be Ms. Cheery Sunshine after taking care of our baby and two hyper dogs all day? Why does he get mad at me when he finally figures out how stressed I am when he gets home? Why do a lot of girls on here pride themselves of being bitches and/or looking like straight up skanks? END.

You're going to be good at the "Why?" game when your girl is a toddler.

I've called my boyfriend's mom my MIL almost since we started dating. They refer to me as their DIL and have always considered me part of the family.
You don't have to be married to use that term.

This post made me LOL... but not at you...

I call my partner's mother my MIL... me and him are common-law married but just don't have the piece of paper so many people think is necessary to say we are "married". It shouldn't matter to anyone else what you call her

However, whatever you call her, she should mind her own business: if you want to wipe spit off your own daughter's face or wipe her bottom if she pees, that's for you to decide and it's not going to hurt her if you do.
