I'm lactose too, so I had a feeling that was it. Her pedi said we could try and switch, and ever since we haven't had any issues. It was really nice to not be thrown up on 6 or 8 times a day. haha

i have tried the massage but it didn't really help much at all. he has just all of a sudden got like this the last few nights.
he has always been super gassy though. he farts constantly. i will try the massage again but i dont think that gas is the problem.
since he got on the enfamil gentle ease i have seen a drop in the gas but he still has is some but not as much.

i think his spitting up is probably normal for a baby , but he didn't use to spit up at all. everyone says its normal b/c he's eating more. i dunno.

what kind of formula did they give your baby? is it soy ?

Its pretty much bad belly pain that comes with a lot of gas. It sounds like your son may have it. It should get better within the next couple of weeks.

No it's similac sensative. It's just lactose free. She tried soy, and threw up every bottle all over me. She's a gem.

oh ok. i'm not that familar with formula lol i thought it was either cow milk base or soy  
well if the dr says yeah he's lactose intolarent and needs this special formula, do you know if wic covers it ?

I think they can find you one they cover with a doctors note. I know they can give soy as well. Here they wouldn't give us the formula we needed, they don't cover similac though.

god i hope they would cover it.well i have been reading on the symptoms of lactose intolerance and it honestly sounds like that is what is wrong. i read there are tests dr's can do, so i'm going to call the dr tomorrow morning.

thanks for all the help ladies, if he is lactose intolarant do you think he'll be ok until he goes to the dr?

Yeah he should be okay. The doctor may recommend switching over the phone, and give you some options on which to try.

ok thanks   so then if he is pooing you dont think he's just constipated?
i got some prune juice but didn't give him any b/c im scared to.

Probably not. Is he having full poops, or is it barely anything? I know when Ainsley is constipated her poops are rock hard.

he was barely pooping. last night he pooped a tiny little bit. i did end up giving him half oz almost of prune juice in his formula.
it didn't work until today and he finally had a really good poo. he poo'd twice today really good.
i have him an apt on friday morning.
