dilation check?

ok well im 37 weeks and 3 days; tommorrow is my appointment. my doctor didnt say anything about checking me for dilation but do you think she might anyway? i have been feeling way more pressure then usual and gettin pains off and on every 20 minutes or so; if she doesnt say anything should i ask her just to go ahead and check to be sure?

Just ask if its not mentioned. My dr checked me when I asked (even before the 37 wk mark).

My doc checked me at 37 weeks, i'd ask if she doesn't just do it

he might, I got checked at 36 weeks

I think she'll check you and get that strep test..with my daughter I didn't feel any different than any other day and I went to my 37 week appointment and at exactly that night my contractions started and voila she was born pretty quick i almost didn't make it to the hospital needless to say i didn't get my test results lol

Theres not even a point in checking for dialation. I am denying it in my future pregnancies unless it is medically necessary or I am in labor.
Dialation means nothing.
Theres people that are 2+ cm at 30 weeks and go overdue, and I was 0 cm one week and in early labor 6 days later and 3 cm.

thats what i dont get she checked me for that last week and i thought she would check dilation while she was down there bt she didnt; last week i wouldnt have asked cause i wasnt getting pains or othing but i think i might just ask her
