The single parent loves their child, married or single.   They feed their child, hold their child, put the child on a schedule.

I can't say I know what it's like to be a single mom, but I'm assuming there is always love and nurturing, whether there is just 1 or 2 parents.

Quoting ashhhh*:“ comparing and contrasting single mother parenting vs married couple parenting and ive got the contrast down but im having difficulty showing similarities, any help please?”

For both situations one can no longer be selfish. It is not about "us" or "me" anymore, but rather him or her. Is that what you mean?

Both can face financial struggles, both deal with making decisions regarding child care, education, health care, things like that. Single parents make the decisions alone but either way they are making decisions.

dont forget about discipline. its so much easier to discipline your child as a single parent. i was a single parent for awhile. now that im married it sucks. we do not agree on the discipline at all! and it has me to the point sometimes where i just want to walk out.
