Lunch Help

posted 3rd Nov
Okay so this may seem stupid but hubby starts a new job tomorrow and I have no idea what to make him for lunch. He won't have access to a fridge or a microwaveand he doesn't like sandwhiches. At this rate I think he might starve lol but I know a lot of your husbands work and gaga has the smartest ladies ever so I need some help!

My dh isnt picky and will eat whatever ipack him. If he's feeling difficult, he just comes home for lunch... So, thats all i can suggest for you is that dh come home and eat then go back to work.

No microwave is the only real problem. The fridge normally isn't a big deal for the amount of time he'll probably be there before lunch.

And, I make DH sandwiches all the time, even though he's not a fan.

Dh takes soup in a thermos, pasta salads, garden salad(usually with chicken in it) and sandwiches..I don't normally pack him cold cut sandwiches, but more grilled chicken breast, sausage, meatloaf etc.

ETA: aside from legit food for lunch he also takes fruit cups, apple sauce, crackers, granola bars, pop tarts etc.

You could pack him a salad! Those don't have to be refrigerated.... you could just send the dressing in a separate container on the side or something. OR you could do sliced meat/sausage, crackers and cheese slices (he could make his own little 'sandwiches' haha OR just a thermos with soup or something in it. Good luck!

I sometimes for my LO buy ham steak and cut it into cubes, and do the same with cheese. She loves those. Or ham and Cheese roll ups. And Hard boiled eggs are her favorite.

Thats what I was going to say.
You could also get an insulated lunch box with a cold pack, for anything he might need to keep cold, maybe he will have to eat a sandwich every now and then, or maybe a salad?
Maybe pack like some cheese cubes, jerky, power bars?

My mom did ham and cheese rolls up all the time with italian dressing on them- or ham with cream cheese rolled in the middle- sounds weird, but SOOOO good!!! Ugh, I miss living with her and having those sweet homemade lunches everyday! Now its either the deli sandwiches they serve for lunch, or whatever soup it is for the day, OR whatever I can scrounge up at my house!   lol it stinks!!!
