posted 3rd Nov
my LO normally looooves her bottle, but for the last week or so, she pretty much wants nothing to do with them, except her first feeding in the morning. im starting to worry shes not taking in enough formula. any ideas what the issue might be?

ive tried the sippy, still no better then a bottle. shes not showing any other symptoms of teething (other then being a tad cranky) and her gums dont look any different.

Sophia went through a phase like that like last week and it lasted for like 3 weeks haha shes over it now so maybe its just a phase with your LO too?

It might be coincidence but during the time she was refusing a bottle she got 2 teeth in

My son is doing the same thing and is 7 months old as well. He did this about 3 weeks ago, it lasted a week or so and it was because he was getting his first tooth. I'm assuming he's going to cut another one soon since he's a bit cranky and refusing his bottle almost completely, he won't take sippy cups or regular cups either. We've tried everything as I'm paranoid he isn't getting enough nutrients. Even though your LO isn't showing any other signs, she could be teething too. She is adorable btw

thanks!

when your LO does it, will he still take a paci? im not thinking it would be teething partly because they stop eating well during teething because it hurts to suck...well she cant get enough of her paci or sucking her thumb, so im assuming it doesnt hurt. or am i wrong there?

Awww, you're welcome!
My son has never taken a paci. He does however chew on everything, all the time. So it doesn't seem like the pain of teething is causing him to keep things out of his mouth, it more so seems like he has a loss of appetite. The last time this happened about 3 weeks ago, it lasted for a week, then he was back to his regular eating schedule once the tooth came. I hope your LO comes around soon. Ifit keeps up for more than another couple of days, I would call your pedi. GL.

My son did the same thing around 9 months. He showed no signs of getting teeth either and was sucking away on his paci so I figured it couldn't be teething. Low & behold, 3 days later his 2 bottom teeth popped up and he started eating like a fiend again. I had asked his pedi about it too and he said that it makes them lose their appetite a bit but they will not let themselves go hungry.

hmmmm, maybe im wrong then! im kinda hoping it is teething now, because when i changed her diaper before i put her down for the night, she felt a little warm so i took her temp and she has a low grade fever. id definately take teething over getting sick. she just got over a cold, id hate for her to go through it again so soon.
