It's just so surreal . Serena died of a heart defect . And until now I didn't know where it came from.. but it looks like it's coming from my ex's side now   ugh

Is it the same kind of defect? I worry so mucxh about Miles bc I was adopted before you legally had to give a childs medical record when you gave them up so I don't know if there is anything I should looking out for ya know? I hope your ex is doing ok..I can't imagine losing my child and my sibling within months of each other.

I don't know if it's the same.. but a heart defect is a heart defect.. in the same ballpark, pretty much   I dunno . I know, my ex just got home from two weeks in Vegas with some friends and now he has to face this . Thank god my new boyfriend understands him & I are still friends..

That is good (eta: that your new beau understands). It's good you can maintain a friendship too. I'm still friends with a few ex's but most of them, no thanks. Are you close with his mom? I can't imagine how she must feel either. I know your situations are different but you could probably be helpful to her right now bc you know what it's like to lose a child. Not many people can relate to that ya know?

His mom is like a second mother to me, she's amazing . I have no way to get there tonight, my ex would come for me, but I know what he's like when he drives while he's upset.. not a good idea . I'll take the bus over tomorrow after classes and before I pick my car up.. check in on them, help around the house, talk to his mom, etc.

A few years older than Ty, so he was 24 and yeah.. well his mom has been there for me through a lot of shit, and she's seperated from the children's father, so I wanna do whatever I can to help, ya know?

God, I'm 24.... Its crazy to think someone the same age as me just dropped dead. His poor mama. It's like by that age you probably think your children are safe and they'll be burying you, not the other way around.

I know, right? There's an older brother yet, Thomas.. and then a younger brother, Jacob.. it sucks . His brother was so amazing, and so nice . He used to pinch my cheeks when I was younger and call me kiddo -_- Burying her children were the last thing on their mother's minds..
