Ok, I just got off the phone with Capital Health, and they put my mind at ease somewhat. I'm still really scared. They said not to take her unless it's 105, or she can't breathe. She also told me Tylenol takes a good hour to kick in and it don't have to drop to normal. I just checked her and she's now 102...but i'm still SO scared. I haven't slept in 2 nights cause i'm so scared. I am also worried my 8 month old don't get it. PLEASE PRAY she recoverys quick, and pray my lil guy don't get it.

Prayers mama, just keep a cold cloth on her and makesure you alternate between giving her Tylenol and Motrin! you can give her motrin 2 hours after giving her tylenol

Thanks ladies really, you have no idea how this helps...she's in a good mood at least, but fever always scares the crap out of me. How long does this flu last anyway?

I believe its a week...make sure you keep fluids down her..

My 12 month old has been sick for 15 days, but getting better.The fevers usually last 3-6 days (he of course had the 6 days worth).Gl Mama-hope she gets better soon.

Wahoo, so far her temp is now 100.9 and she finally went to sleep. When I talked to the nurse from Capital Health, she told me not to get her cold, because this will cause her to shiver and make her fever go up. Thanks again. I hope this don't last too much longer.

No cold is not good but lukewarm bath & cool wash cloth on the forehead is fine. Even if he fever completely breaks I would still get her tylenol/motrin a couple times to make sure it doesn't come back. I hope she starts feeling better soon!

Well it's 2:10 in the morning and her fever has broke some. She's now at 99.8, all your thoughts and prayers must be helping, thanks so much ladies, SO much. It's so nice to have a network like this of moms all over the globe and be able to share ideas, thoughts and concerns. Thank you.

BTW, my kids are hardly ever sick, and very rarely get a cold. So this high fever like this is so scary. We always believe in the body's ability in healing itself and to breastfeed for a long time.
