Quoting Sara & Emiliana:“ Yeah, I think that's always hard no matter what. It gets a little easier each day, I think. It's nice to have maternity leave to spent with them, at least. How long do you have?”

I'm unemployed so I have as long as we can afford it. BUT, we can't afford it a month ago so as soon as I get the clear I'll have to start looking.

That sucks. Honestly, even though I have an awesome daycare, I hate the thought of someone else watching my baby. I actually have quit my job, which is a little scary because things are going to be super tight until we get my financial aide money in January. But, I am so excited to be home with Emmie in a couple weeks...

I'm just going to find something part time at first and Adam works 3rd shift so he'll be watching him while I'm at work. I'm glad I don't have to send him to daycare... at least not this early.

i didn't want an epi but was pushed and pushed basically from day one of pregnancy into it.

So, i got it. The only thing I could do shortly after birth was focus on my daughter, then about a year later I started revisiting and dealing with my feelings on my delivery.

I wasn't pushed into it but if I waited a year to deal with this it would be a very long and low year.I gotta deal and move on.

I just didn't let it get me down. I figured what was done was done and I moved past it. What mattered to me was that I had a healthy beautiful baby. I didn't revisit it and grieve over my birth until we started talking about when we would try for another. I had to deal with it then before we could actually start trying. I just didn't really think it was the end of the world that it didn't go as planned until I started thinking about having another birth. But, if it's going to get you down, go see a counselor.

i think it's hard for me to get past it right now because it's still so fresh (less than 3 weeks) i love my son more than anything. and writing the long story and talking to others with births that didn't go as expected is how i'm starting the healing process and it seems to be working.... it's desensitizing the issue anyhow.
