My Labor Story

The morning of October 26th I woke up & thought maybe I was leaking fluid so I put a pad on and nothing. The only thing that got on the pad was pieces of my mucus plug. Through out the day I felt like I was leaking again but still not soaking a pad or anything. A little bit after my husband got home I stood up & felt like I was leaking fluid & then started coughing and had a little bit more come out. So I told my husband I am taking a shower & we are going to labor & delivery. I got to labor & delivery filled out paper work & they took me back & hooked me up to monitors. I wasn't contracting at all. Faith heartbeat was strong. They came in and did an exam. They told me your not leaking fluid & your water hasn't broke. They said you probably just peed a little bit & you will be going home soon. I said alright I will be back here Wednesday anyways for a c-section. My husband thought he won his bet because he said if it nothing your buying me a smoothie. Then One of the doctors came back & did an ultrasound trying to measure the fluid around the baby she was having a hard time finding fluid so she said she would be back with some help. A few minutes later we heard them saying oh no her water ruptured & she has a breeched baby. We thought they were talking about somebody else. A few minutes later they came back & said your not going anywhere your having the baby tonight. They said our test just took a little longer to show that your water broke. I was shocked & started shaking. They took me back around 9:45 & at ten started my c-section. 10:18 pm Faith Nicole entered the world weighing 5 lbs 11 ounces 19 1/4 inches long with a head full of hair. She is so adorable. Everybody says she a mini me. I think she also looks like Jacob. Faith already got us wrapped around her little finger. She very spoiled & our little princess. She also our whole world. My family is complete & I am enjoying every moment being Faith's mommy. I love her more then anything in the world
