Studie show most African Americans are 20% of another race, so most people consider mainly AA children as AA. Alot of biracials identify more with being AA even if they are 50/50 because that is technically what society sees them as.

According to the Torah, being Jewish is a nationality and it gets passed down the mother's line. So if you're father is Jewish and your mother isn't, no matter how much you you think you are, you are not Jewish.....unless the person deciding is Hitler and then having a Jewish great-great grandmother was enough to be labeled Jewish.

ethnicity is a looser term -it can relate to racial, national, or cultural aspects of a person's background. nationalities are based on the nations that your family is from. example:my nationalities are italian and croatian (race obviously caucasian). culturally i would consider myself american or italian american. american for obvious reasons, italian american because i was raised witnessing and absorbing my italian heritage through that side of my family, much moreso than my croatian side.

Actually, it's not uncommon for the population of Israel to be called the Israeli instead of Jewish simply because .. they're not all Jewish.
