when?

When did you start giving your baby juice and water? My son it 2 months and some people tell me to give it to him and others tell me not to. Also when did you start putting cereal in their formula?

Do not give your 2 month old juice. You can dilute the juice at 4 months if you really think an infant NEEDS juice.
& You never put cereal in the bottle of formula, give it to them on a spoon, 6 months recommended. Dont rush things.

that sounds too early. i read that once you start giving your baby juice that theres a pretty high chance their going to want that and push away their formula or breastmilk. you should wait til they start solids at LEAST.

thats REALLY young for water or juice...... unless your pedi told you to, i would NOT give it to a 2 mo old. and cereal in bottles is dangerous too, again, unless your pedi tells you to, i wouldnt do it. once theyre 4-6 mos, you can start cereal, but mix it and spoon feed it.

NEVER put cereal in your baby's bottle unless directed to do so by your pediatrician for a medical reason like AR. It is a choking hazard.

Your baby does not need water or juice at 2 months old.

I gave my LO a bit of water when I introduced the sippy at 6 months, and he just recently got his first taste of juice at 15 months old. It's empty calories.

You shouldn't put cereal in their bottle unless the doctor recommends it.
When they start eating cereal by mouth you can mix it with formmula.
I didn't give my daughter juice until 8 months and she doesn't get water, because she gets plenty of water in breast milk

We gave our babe water around 6 months in sippy cups (it was summer and it was getting hot and the Dr. said it was okay as long as he still mostly drank milk).

We still haven't given him juice (he's almost 1 year now).

And we didn't start feeding him cereal (or any solids) until 6 months--we did not give it to him through the bottle because we were told that was a no-no.

2 month olds don't need anything besides bm/formula.
Kaden is five months old and never had juice. He won't get it for awhile yet either.
It's not recommended to put cereal in the bottle, youc an start feeding it by spoon at the very very earliest 4 months, though the recommended age is 6 months.

I started giving my son water at 6 mo., andjuice around a yr.
The only reason I give my son juice, is to keep him from getting constipated, since he's not the best eater. (per his pedi's advice) Otherwise, I would rather have him eat fruit instead, since fruit juice has so much sugar in it!!
Also, it's recommended you spoon-feed your baby their cereal....

My fiance's mom told me its okay to give my baby water... But I'm not going to do it. & IMO juice has too much sugar in it for a baby of 2 months age to have.
