Glucose Drink

I went to the doctors and they gave me the glucose drink. I wasn't fully listening to the doctor when they told me about it, but what do i do? Just drink it, exactly an hour later get blood drawn. I am not sure if I am supposed to do this before my doc appointment on monday or after?? And how much blood are they gonna need for this?

Drink it within 7 mins I think? tell them you're finished, and then an hour from when you're finished they draw your blood

its like orange soda, you jus drink it then come back in an hour and they take some blood, its pretty easy, they only take like one or 2 little syringes of blood, least for me..........

Drink it and then one hour later they take one vile of blood. Simple.

im pretty sure you drink it there and literally wait an hour then they take blood
it tests al sorts of stuff with u and babies blood sugar

Just drink it an hour BEFORE your test. I poured mine in a cup full of ice becasue the drink is really sweet and the ice cold makes it go down alot easier. And I believe they draw 3 or vials of blood.

Drink it when they give it to you.. & Sit in the waiting room for an hour until they call you to draw blood. & I dont remember how much they need, not too much.

You have to drink it within 5 minutes, and after and hours passes you will get your blood drawn. My dr wanted me to go before my drs appointment so he would have the results by my appointment. I didnt have to have an appointment to get the glucose test done.

When you drink it I think I was given 20 mins to drink and when you finish they write down the time, you can't eat, drink or smoke in that hour. Only drink water. And from me they took 4 tubes.

I had to drink mine while there, but you just chug it (its pretty gross) i think in 5 min was what mine said, wait an hour, all i could have was water, then they draw one tube of blood.. just hope you dont have to do the 3 hour.. it sucked!

Its gross. It tastes like really syrupy old sprite.. sorta lol But yeah you just wait an hour. Take a book! I couldn't leave the hospital so I sat there and played my nitendo ds.  

Every office is obviously different but for me when I brought it home for my 1 hour they told me to drink it and I had to drink the entire thing within 10 min...after that u can only have water nothing else until after they draw ur blood.

At my dr office they told me to come in about 10 min early and let the receptionist know exactly what time I started drinking it so they could take my blood exactly an hour later....

I had the 1 hour and the 3 hour done, I highly recommend not eating before u drink tht stuff because the 3 hour stucks balls
