contractions

I'm not really sure what i'm supposed to expect..I haven't had any braxton hicks so I was wondering if you ladies could TRY to explain what your contractions felt like? It would really help me out.

Sorry this is really kind of a silly thing to ask! haha

really bad period cramps

And when it's true contractions it comes and goes correct?

i've been having a lot of pre term labor problems and contractions and mine feel like a charlie horse (leg cramp)in my stomach

My braxton hicks just felt like my stomach wouldconstantly tighten and then relax. Now I get mild period-like cramps plus the tightening. Idk what the real thing feels like though..still waiting to find out!

Thats not silly at all I did not know when i was in labor I had period like cramps too and I did not know it was labor. lol within twenty four hrs kale was born via emergency c-section.

Lol i'm glad it's not silly! Lol I just keep thinking i'll be in denial and won't go in time. And being 5 days overdue is adding to my stress! I just keep hoping i'll luck out and my water will break and i'll KNOW to go in! hah

Lol well i went into labor 2 months early so ya i was totally in denial and kept on trying to work holding on to my big old belly lol! I see u live in Iowa to lol yeah iowa!!! 

MISERABLEEEE. lol no one told me they would hurt that bad the last 5 hours of my labor my contractions were 1-3 minutes apart and once they went down i only had about a minute to catch up with myself... lets just say when they told me to push it felt A LOT better.

Lol I'm overdue and I know i'll be in denial haha Devan is freaking out because I have strep b and he wants me to get the L&D in time to be hooked up haha.

ughh really strep b i never made it that far to that test and i am not sure what it is. I had a bacterial vaginosis. Ick! worst cramps ever.

It's just a bacteria found in some woman, you get hooked up to antibiotics, usually penicilin unless you're allergic like me   haha, but it can cause meningitis or pneumonia. I'm just a worry wart haha

Before the pitocin mine were like awful period cramps in my lower abdomen but mainly my lower back. After the pitocin the cramps got worse, and I was able to notice intense tightening in my belly, but usually only if I put my hands there. The cramps would just get more intense (they would never go away so it was hard for me to time them) but they'd get more intense and I'd put my hand on my belly and it'd be rock hard. Finally they started taking my breath away, all I could do was say "ouch" and that's how dh timed them, with every "ouch" or "ugh" lol
