Baby food. How much does yours eat ???

My son is 6 and a half months old. For the past week he has been eating more than usual.


He nurses as soon as he wakes up, then again2 hours later.. Takes a nap. Then eats an hour after his nap 128 ml jar of baby food, then nurses on both sides. Then he will nurse about3 hours later. Then 2-3 hours after that he will eat supper, 128 ml of food again and nurse on both sides to top up. then 3-4 hours he will nurse again to go to bed.


That might be confussing  
Here is his typical schedule.

8:00 am - Nurse
10:00 am - Nurse
12:00 pm - 128 ml of food, Nurse
3:00 pm - Nurse
5:00 - 6:00 Pm - 128 ml of food, Nurse
8:00 - 9:00 pm - Nurse.


Is he eating to much or is this normal for a 6.5 month old ?

* He also eats baby mum mums (rice cookies) 2 per day.

My daughter is almost 8months and she gets half a jar a day.Sometimes the jar can last three days.

So is my son eating to much ??
He gets mad if I stop feeding him when there is still food in the jar.

Different babies eat different amounts. Sounds like youre little man is doing great.

Raven eats four 7oz bottles of formula, she gets one 4oz bottle of juice, 4tbsp of oatmeal, and 1-2jars of baby food a day, plus she munches on puffs and yogurt melts through out the day and the occasional frozen banana pieces for her teething.

He's getting to be quite the fatty  

If he is hungry, feed him. every baby eats a different amount. Mine eats quite a bit as well.

He will eat a small bowl of rice cereal and still be hungry. Usually, I only feed him baby food once a day. I feed it to him at night before his bath. He will eat a small bowl of "apple & rice cereal" and a half a jar of baby food, sometimes a full jar. He also nurses throughout the day.

He'll be 5 months wednesday.

Jack is almost 7 months he get eats 7 ounces in the morning and at night the rest of the day he gets 6 ounce bottles. So he probably eat 35 ounces of formula and eat 2.5 oz (71 grams) twice a day.

Yeah, and my LO is only 2 days older than yours, she does have malabsorption syndrome, so she should eat more than most babies her age, but since she caught up on her weight, her pedi said we can go back to feeding her just when she wants to eat vs. us having to kind of force food down her throat when she was loosing weight...So for the last almost month this is how she has been eating and keeping her weight up, and her pedi said it is a good amount and about average for a baby her size (referring to her height)

how big is she ??

Aspen is about 19 lbs.. and 28 inches

Yeah, I can't believe how big she is...everyone keeps joking and saying "oh you're gonna have to sit her down on the floor to punish her" I'm not laughing because it's probably going to be true, because I'm only 5'3, but DH is 6'3, so I'm guessing that's where she gets her height. But her pedi did said that she is the 2nd tallest baby she's ever been the dr. of. She said the biggest she had was like a line backer, at 6months she was 25lbs and 33inches...all I could say was   I couldn't imagine having a baby that big and only 6months old

Maja is a pig and eats more than Aspen.

8am Nurse
9am Breakfast-usually 1/2 banana and oatmeal
12pm-1pm Nurse and Lunch- usually 1oz babyfood and some mixer (yogurt, cereal)
5pm-6pm Nurse
7pm Dinner- Usually a whole Avacado and 1 oz babyfood.

and she also eats Gerber puffs as snakcs inbetween those meals
