i am just wondering when most people set up there xmas tree.

when i was a kid we would do it like 2 weeks before Christmas, sometimes a week before and leave it up til the new year, my aunt does hers a couple days after thanksgiving and leaves it up til the new year. I'm still not sure what we're doing yet.

We typically set it up as soon after Thanksgiving as I get around to dragging it all up from the basement   We aren't doing one at all this year though, because we'll all be out of country the entire month of December, no point when no one's home.

Usually the first week of Dec, however it's been a tradition to set it up on Thanksgiving or the day after in my husbands family for forever, so we are keeping that tradition. Small compromises..lol

I don't have a set date since I'm Jewy. We do have an xmas tree though. We're just bad jews, haha

I've always done it after Christmas, but my husband gets mad and says that our tree is going to die before Christmas, so makes me wait 1 week.

My family owns a Christmas Tree Farm so if we could have one up all year round we would. Just kidding, it tradition now for us to get on Thanksgiving even though the farm officially opens up the weekend before and then we leave it up until a little after New Years.

Thanksgiving night. It had become my own tradition since my husband and I moved out of state and away from all family.

The day after Thanksgiving - gives me the evening free to do it since we eat leftovers

Ok so im thick and from scotland so can someone please explain what thanks giving is and what the difference to christmas and stuff. Sorry for my ignorance.
