Schedule for 10 month old.

posted 3rd Nov
My son was 3 months early & is 10 months old now, going on 11 months the 26 Nov. When I brought hiim home from the hospital he was 9 weeks old and the doctors told me to just let him chose when he ate and slept. I'm not sure if I should still be doing that right now. He isn't on an exact schedule & I'm not sure if I need to try to get him on one or not. Right now his schedule is about this:
6:30-8 wake up & get 6 oz bottle
Usually about 9 to 10:30-11 nap
When he wakes up he gets one 4 oz jar of some kind of gerber breakfast with 6 oz bottle
about 1 he gets his lunch which is either 1/2 jar of the 2 oz meat, 1/2 jar of the 4 oz fruit, & 1/2 jar of 4 oz veggie with 6 oz bottle OR 1/2 jar of 6 oz3rd food meat/veggie and 1/2 jar of 4 oz fruit & 6 oz bottle
Usually after his lunch he'll take a nap until sometime between 3-5
If he wakes up before 5 he gets a 6 oz bottle only & if it's 5 or after he gets his dinner which is the same as his lunch.
If he woke up before 5 he'll get his dinner about 8 & if he didn't wake up until after five he'll just get another bottle about 8.
Is this right? His ped. just keeps telling me that it sounds okay to her. But, I want to know exactly what I need to change or if this is perfect for him.. I'm so confused and no one has seemed to help me yet.

I've heard that a lot that a lot of babies are eating more than just baby food. Should he be eating more than just baby food? I mean we let him try things, like mashed potatoes, little pieces of bread or pancakes.. But, not a lot of anything like that.

I'm not sure why we do it that way.. That's just how we've been doing it.. I really don't know.. I'm wanting to change something up.. I'm just so confused.

Pancakes are good for breakfast you could give him one cut up. My LO loves the smoked sausage for breakfast we get the skinless kind and brown it then cut into little pieces and she feeds herself. We are going to try grilled cheese this week for lunch. She gets almost anything we are having just in small pieces

Schedules are personal and individual. I personally am not a schedule person. I hate the restrictions of having a child who HAS to sleep and HAS to eat at a certain time. My kids are 4 and (almost) 2 and we make our schedule every morning for that particular day. Of course it's evolved to be more or less the same over the years, but it's not rigid like many mothers do. But, some people, and some children need a schedule to function well. So you need to decide what is best for you. Sounds like you really already have.
