how do i..

my LO is 6mths and everytime i feed her baby food shes constantly trying to grab the spoon or suck her thumb at the sametime. she eats the food but she will not put her hands down when i try and put the spoon in her mouth sometimes its just like uhh im guna tie ur hands down lol...any ideas on what i can do to help her focus and keep her hands away from her mouth or from grabbing the spoon

Ive had to hold my LOs hands down before. Now that he is older, I just wait until he puts his hands down. But sometimes he throws them up and ends up with food everywhere

Unfortunately, thats how they learn to eat, messy, but necessary. You can also try giving her some toys to occupy her.

That is what I have always done. They end up trying to copy as they get older. Mess but a great way to teach them how to use a spoon.

Damien has a spoon and an empty bowl. works WONDERS.
