They took me in at 1:30ish in the am this last Friday and I left the hospital around 5 pm the same day...I had my prescriptions filled at the hospital otherwise I would've left hours sooner.
Make sure you take it easy! What they do is they make4 cuts into your abdomen. I have one right in the middle under my breasts, one right under my belly button and two on the right side of my stomach. The only one that hurts me is the one below my breasts.
But I just had it done Friday and feel back to basically normal as of yesterday

Good Luck mama. It's a fairly simple and non-major surgery.

Since i was pregnant when i had mine done i had to stay to watch the baby but most of the time its done laperscopicly (sp) and you have a incession in you belly button and a few small holes by your ribs . As long as theres no compications you should go home the same day and its a speedy recovery you will fell tons better !!

I had mine removed in may of 2005, when my daugher was 4 months old I suffered for FOUR months. It sucked. I lost 37lbs, putting me down to 94lbs after having Mackenzie. I couldnt eat anything but water bananas and rice. The surgery hurt. It was laproscopic, three small incisions. One on my side, one above my bellybutton and one in the middle of my stomach. I got to go home that day but couldnt move right for a week. I had to walk hunched over. My stomach was a brusised mess and the gas they used on my insides hurt so bad. After all was said and done a few weeks after surgery, I felt 100%. No more stones or attacks at all. Its been 4 years almost and no issues except if I eat anything fat/greasy, I get awful diahhrhea.....

This will amaze you:

About 4 days postpartum, I was home alone and had to call my friend a few houses down to come over because I couldn't move because I was in so much pain. It was the equivilan of active labor with no pain meds. So I go to ER, I almost called an abulance, I thought I was dying. They diagnosed me with a f*ing bladder infection! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! He told me to come back if I had pain in my side. I told him I'd had pain in my side since a few hours after birth. Then he says, oh well you don't have a fever so you're fine.

A week goes by, the pain is still there and getting worse. So I go to the urgent care. He give me more (stronger) antibiotics and says if that doesn't work come back. I had some sort of infection, but he didn't know what....

So then I go to my OBGYN, he gets me the referal to get the gallbladder ultrasound. TWO WEEKS later, my ultrasound appointment comes up. I go down there, and they refused to see me because apparently the dumb B*TCH at the counter decided she wanted to play doctor and claimed it wasnt "pregnancy related".....OBVIOUSLY IT IS SEEING AS HOW MY REFERAL IS FROM AN OBGYN!!!!!! EGH people are so stupid. PRegnancy is the NUMBER ONE cause of gallstones. Anyway.... here it is, well over a month later. My LO is almost 10 weeks old, and my gallbladder ultrasound is tomorrow. I have been in pain for over TWO DAMN MONTHS and I STILL have a ways to go.....

whew...so there is my vent! lol
And on that note, does anyone think that the gallstones could be liked to my inability to lose wieght? Everytime I diet I get very very sick so I have decided I can't diet until the gallbladder comes out. Right now I just watch what I eat.   I only lost 13lbspp.

Not sure about the weight

I dropped massive weight with gallstone/bladder issues.
