Quoting TheAirForceWife:“ Ok. you are going to laugh. But my son has never been around a vacuum unless we are down visiting family. ... [snip!] ... started turning it on while he was one there. and before you knew it he would just perch on top of it and we would vacuum away.”

That's cute! I wish I could try that, Aiden's fine with it if its just sitting there but as soon as I turn it on, he's scared to death.

my 18 month old is scared of it, every time i turn it on he screams and starts shaking. The vacuum can't be in the same room with him even when it's not running because he throws a fit

This sounds silly but it worked for Cady: She cried one time and I pet the vacuum and said "Nice Vacuum, it helps us clean the floor but it is LOUD!" and I made a loud noise as I turned it on and danced with it. Now she loves it! hahah

I also warned her before I used it for a while so she knew what the loud noise was.

Julia HATES the vacuum. She freaks out when she even looks at the damn thing.

I try to vaccum when she is napping or else when Hubby is around to hold her.

My big one he is terrified of.. I have a little Shark sweeper that he loves though.. he walks it around and chases the animals with it. The other one though, I have to do that if Daddy takes him out somewhere otherwise he literally screams hysterically and like holds his breath.

My 14 month old is definitely afraid of it! She cries every time we even take it out of the closet! She is scared to death of it. We tried getting her to touch it so she wouldn't be so scared, but she started screaming bloody murder!
