Having A Panic Attack Now

I Suffer from panic attacks and now im having a bad one because of blurry vision and a headache . Because the nurse at the medical school whom i have my first appointment with on monday told me to go straight to the E.R. Because blurry vision is not normal in pregnancy now this lady has scared the crap out of me right into a panic attack :*(

I get blurry vision BECAUSE I'm pregnant.

Blurred vision could mean anything. It doesnt have to be pregnancy related. Calm down. Take a deep breath and go see what the hospital has to say. GL!

my vision has been messed up this whole pregnancy..best of all its in one eye. Yup I had my share of panic attacks in the beginning because of it. My doc told me its common because of fluid build up and the shape of your eye actually changes. Dont worry vision changes and headaches are normal. Just call your doc to have some peace of mind and relax.

I suffer from severe panic disorder also. I know how easy it is to be scared into attacks from little things nurses or doctors may say - they have no idea how it affects us.
I have had blurry vision a few times so far (we are due around the same time) - I was told it was because your eyes change during pregnancy, they change shape and your vision changes as a result. Also, I get it when I am tired or in need of a nap but don't realize it. I'll get blurry vision and a headache, and then know that it's time to lay down. I don't know exactly how blurry your vision is getting, but if in doubt, don't hesitate to go to the ER. It's always better to be comforted than worry yourself into another panic attack.
Are you being treated with meds for the panic attacks? Or have you tried putting on some meditation music? There is some good stuff on youtube with visuals that helps me when I'm having an attack -- if you look up mantra or something like that...

Honey get a glass of water, focus on breathing in through your nose and our your mouth... sip the water slowly... Try thinking about happy things (beaches, waterfalls..anything you enjoy doing)or counting backwards in your head from 1000...

I get panic attacks and have had them since I was 13... everything will be OK! Just breathe in and out... it will be over soon! It won't last forever and you WILL NOT DIE!
