We were at Camp Pendleton the past 3 years but then he was injured in Iraq and medically retired, so now we are in Colorado enjoying the retired life at the ages of 22 and 24 lol...but if he had not gotten medically retired we probably would have stayed at Camp Pendleton, that is where he had orders to stay when he re-enlisted.

No he was retired, his injury was bad enough that they put him on the Permanent Disabled Retiree List. We get the benefits as if he did 20 years. He was rated %80, it is pretty bad, I have some pictures up of his injury

What hospital was he in? I ask because I did time at BAMC and my husband was a nurse in the WRAMC ICU for a year.
